Jacque’s love for landscaping and the outdoors began at the early age of five when he would help his mom in their own yard. By high school, Jacque was cutting lawns for cash and building his array of skills, and before too long, he realized a passion for the industry. He knew he wanted to sculpt environments that people loved coming home to. For Jacque, there’s nothing more rewarding than when a customer is proud of their landscaping. “It’s why I love doing this!”​

Our employees undergo continuing education by attending seasonal classes at the University of Florida. We also receive training from the Institute of Food and Agricultural Services (IFAS) at their sites. We adhere to Florida-Friendly Landscape Principles and are certified in Best Management Practices (BMP) as proposed by the State of Florida.

See our very own Jacque Power as a contributor on the television show "Ask This Old House" filmed right here in St. Petersburg.

1991

Started cutting grass as Power Lawn Care. Starting with one push mower out of back of a pickup.

1999

Incorporated as Power Industries Inc. DBA Power Lawn Care. Won first place in Polk County Parade of Homes (Subdivision: Wyndham).

2000

Began serving upscale, gated community homes in SE Winter Haven by Legoland (formerly Cypress Gardens).

2002

Staffed second crew to accommodate growth in the Winter Haven area.

2005

Added third crew to begin operations in Orlando. Upscale areas such as Windermere, Isleworth, Lake Nona, Lake Butler Sound.

2006

Staffed fourth crew to continue upscale commercial growth such as Publix Shopping Centers in Central Florida.

2007

Added fifth truck to accommodate landscape design and installation projects throughout Central Florida.

2009

Started, My Spray Service LLC, a lawn and ornamental spray service to complement and enhance our current and future customers turf and shrub needs.

2010-2014

Began a downsizing plan, focusing more on landscape design, and spray services.

2015

Due to changes in the market, Power Lawn Care began focusing all future growth on the Winter Haven area. Upscale commercial and residential.
